Have you ever thought of designing your own deck? Last month we practiced making and modifying the cards themselves; this month we’ll focus on the creative process. What do you want a personal deck to be for you? Where does your inspiration come from, and how might you best express that? We’ll focus on these questions and more, through card
reading and meditation. Does the idea of an entire 78 card deck
intimidate you? We’ll explore how we might sustain the energy required for a long project, but also discuss the value in creating even a single card.
Then we’ll put these ideas into practice, and make a card based on our personal vision. Remember artistic skills are not required to make something powerful and personally meaningful. Certain materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring along your own favorite tools.
This meeting will be facilitated by Ellen Lorenzi-Prince, who has created and self-published one full deck, one Majors-only deck, and has several more in the works.
