The Tarot cards related to Binah are the four Threes. There will be a brief discussion about how the Threes relate to the Four Worlds. We will spend most of the first hour comparing the images on the Threes from the Tarot decks that have grown out of the Hermetic tradition such as the Rider-Waite-Smith, The Thoth Tarot, and The Golden Dawn Tarot. In addition to the Qabalistic influence of Binah on the Threes we will look at how astrology, numerology, and color symbolism relate to the imagery of each card. We will continue to use Robert Wang’s book, Qabalistic Tarot, as our main text. (The third Sephirah, Binah, and the Threes are covered on pages 69 - 74).

The second half of the meeting will be spent doing practice readings related to the Threes.

Although the Tree of Life will continue to be the focus of study for one meeting each month, people new to Tarot or Qabalah are welcome.

We will be working on several readings based on using the Majors. I found some fairly simple and interesting spreads to use and I will make the handout for the session. Chapter ten in Michelsen’s book will be the preparation for the class.

In addition to the Qabalistic influence of Chokmah on the Twos we will look at how astrology, numerology, and color symbolism relate to the imagery of each card. The journey from Fool to World can be understood in mythical, psychological or spiritual terms, and analyzing or creating stories of this journey can give us deeper insight into the cards as well as ourselves. If you like, please bring along one of your own favorite myths or fairy tales to share.
